zone bbs and firefox

When I use the Zone with Firefox, I cannot get the game sounds to play, as I can with I E and Google Chrome, although Google chrome is very annoying to use. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to work? Thanks.

I had this problem too on both my boxes under the latest version of Firefox, but I found an unusual solution. I tried to read the above board post, but it wouldn't load for me, to see if maybe my solution was the same as what that recommended.

All I did was entered the /sound in the quicknote box to turn off sound, then reentered it to turn it back on. When I recieved the system message that sounds were back on, I also got the sound with it. Worked on Firefox 48.0.2 on Windows 7 X64 HP and Windows Vista X86 HP. Hope this helps anybody having issues with FF not playing the sounds off the bat.
